Fix-It Friday: Get Your Grill Ready Before Backyard Season Starts
There’s a moment every spring…
You go to fire up the grill for the first time —
And it doesn’t quite go the way you pictured.
Maybe it won’t light.
Maybe it smokes a little too much.
Or maybe it just hasn’t bee n touched since last summer.
This week’s Fix-It Friday is all about getting your grill ready for the season — or upgrading if it’s time.

Start With a Deep Clean
Before anything else, give your grill some attention.
Scrape down grates
Clean out grease traps
Wipe down exterior surfaces

A clean grill heats better, cooks better, and lasts longer.

Check the Basics
Before you fire it up, take a quick look:
Burners lighting evenly
No cracked hoses or loose connections
Igniter working properly

If something feels off, it’s usually an easy fix — and we’ve got the parts to help.

When It’s Time to Upgrade
Sometimes… it’s not a fix.
It’s time.
If your grill:
Struggles to hold temp
Has hot/cold spots
Or just isn’t enjoyable to use anymore

That’s your sign.

Let’s Talk Pellet Grills (And Why People Are Switching)
If you haven’t used a pellet grill yet, this is the year.
Set your temp.
Walk away.
Let it do the work.

That’s where Recteq grills really shine.
We carry Recteq options right on our site, including:
The Backyard Beast 1200— perfect for families who want serious cooking space
The Deck Boss 800— great all-around size for everyday grilling and smoking
The DualFire 1200— if you’re ready to go big and never look back
The Recteq B380X Bullseye Deluxe- when you want versatility and flavor always ready to go!

You can check them out anytime at:
shop.rioranchohardware.com

Why Recteq?
People love them because they’re:
Built solid (these things are tanks)
Extremely consistent with temperature
Easy to use — whether you’re new or experienced
This isn’t just grilling… it’s set-it-and-enjoy-it cooking.

Don’t Forget the Setup
If you’re getting your grill ready (or upgrading), don’t forget:
Pellets (flavor matters)
Grill covers to protect your investment
Cleaning tools to keep things running smooth

We’ve got everything you need to get dialed in.

The Truth About “I’ll Clean It Later”
We’ve all been there.
You throw food on…
Hope for the best…
And deal with it later.
Spring is the reset button.
Take a little time now, and your future cookouts will thank you.

Final Thought
Whether you’re tuning up your current grill or ready to upgrade, this is the time to do it.
And if you want to see what a pellet grill can really do, come by and talk to us — or check out our Recteq lineup online at shop.rioranchohardware.com.

While you’re here, take a stroll through the garden center too — it’s the perfect setup for backyard season.
