Because we believe every person deserves to feel capable, even if they've never picked up a wrench before. George grew up in the store, learned from his dad, and now shares what he knows — one project at a time.
No pressure. Just practical help, a little humor, and the kind of advice you'd get from a neighbor who’s been there.
Stop by either location and we’ll walk you through your fix. Literally.
🛠️ Until then — grab a cup of coffee, scroll a post or two, and let’s get your next project started.

The holidays are here, which means it’s time to make things merry, bright, and brilliantly lit. Before you start untangling cords or climbing on anything questionable, let’s go over a few tips to keep your lights up and your feet safely on the ground.
Because nothing ruins holiday cheer faster than a trip to urgent care.
We’ve all been tempted with the hammer and a handful of nails… but this is one of those “just because you can doesn’t mean you should” moments.
Grab the good stuff instead:
Parrot Clips
They make hanging lights easy, damage-free, and sturdy — no shingles sacrificed, no stucco holes, no regrets.
Before you hang anything, plug it in:
Look for frayed cords
Check for broken sockets
Replace old bulbs with Feit Electric LEDs
A quick pre-check saves you from having to climb back up later… especially when you’ve already put the ladder away and sworn you were done.
Let your lights be festive without running all night.
Timers and smart plugs help you:
Save energy
Extend bulb life
Avoid 10:30 p.m. pajama trips outside
We carry timers, outdoor-rated smart plugs, and weather-ready extension cords — all in one easy aisle.
If you do need a ladder, grab a buddy.
At minimum: someone to hold it steady.
At best: someone to pass you the clips, admire your work, and say, “a little to the left.”
Holiday decorating is a team sport.
We don’t make the rules — we just keep people safe.
Once the lights are up, grab something warm to drink, turn on the tunes, and enjoy the sparkle.
Your house will look amazing — and you did it without a single nail in the siding. That deserves a cookie. (Or two.)
“Do you carry a double male plug?”
Short answer:
No, we don’t.
And here’s why:
A double male plug is not safe.
It leaves an exposed live end somewhere — which can arc, shock, or start a fire.
If your lights don’t reach where you want, it’s time to:
re-route the strand
add extension cords rated for outdoor use
or pick up new clips and anchors to run the line safely
We’ve got everything you need to do it right — and nobody will judge you if you’re on the third try. We’ve all been there.
Safety first, sparkle second.
